Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary’s Thrift Shop
The Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary operates a Thrift Shop where
gently used household items are received as tax-deductible donations
to Jupiter Medical Center and in turn are sold to the public. Located in
the heart of Jupiter at 205 Center Street (near Alternate A-1-A), this
highly successful operation accepts items as varied as clothing,
household gadgets, musical instruments and furniture, cars and boats-no item is too large or too small.
Donations are accepted daily Monday through Saturday, during regular
store hours. (Please bring to the back entrance.) As a convenience to
donors, The Thrift Shop offers free pick-up of furniture. Contact the
Thrift Shop to schedule a convenient time.
Donors receive a receipt for tax purposes, but more importantly, know
that just by donating no longer needed items, they contribute to the
success of our hometown, non-profit hospital.
As an Auxilian, it’s a fun place to volunteer to work. There’s plenty of
spirited interaction and a variety of duties. No time to volunteer?
You can still contribute to Jupiter Medical Center’s success just by
shopping at the Thrift Shop.
Thrift Shop sales generate funds to improve patient and visitor
services. In 2000, the Auxilians pledged $1 million to refurbish the 2nd
floor of the Pavilion and landscape the Pavilion grounds. The
landscaping project included the creation of a butterfly garden, the
addition of a wooden gazebo and a fountain in the pond. Coupled with the
refurbishing of the patient rooms, these improvements dramatically
contribute to the quality of life experienced by the Pavilion residents.
The Auxilians make a difference in so many ways!
