Workplace Enhancement Wins Award
Jupiter Medical Center's leadership team received a national award for its workplace improvement program by The Jackson Group, Inc., a survey services and consulting firm. Jupiter Medical Center was one of two healthcare organizations out of a total of 224 they surveyed nationally to win the prestigious Laureate Award for Workplace Enhancement.
This award is based on employee surveys conducted in 2003, 2005, and 2007 to measure improvements in the work climate and results of action plans in areas identified for upgrading. The 2007 results showed strong improvements in all 12 measured categories as compared to 2005. The top 3 categories of improvement were organizational leadership, identification with goals and mission, and attention to employee needs. Over 1,000 of Jupiter Medical Center's employees completed the 2007 survey.
"Our greatest resource is the dedicated men and women who work at Jupiter Medical Center and we make every effort to provide them with a proper working environment. It is a great credit to our management team to be recognized for the significant advancements made to provide them with a safe and rewarding workplace," said Paul Dell Uomo, CEO.
"The results of the 2007 survey were evidence of efforts made by Jupiter Medical Center to invest in the human capital of their healthcare organization by making sound management decisions that have been well received by both associates and managers," said Alan Jackson, President of The Jackson Group. "Through these efforts, it is apparent that leadership has built a very positive work climate."
