Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center Comprehensive Cancer Program
At the Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center we offer a comprehensive scope of services from diagnostic testing and screening to state-of-the-art cancer treatment and rehabilitative care. The Center’s cancer program features a unique continuum of care and essential inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Utilizing a team approach to assure each patient and their caregiver’s needs are met on a personal level, services include:
- Radiation Oncology
- Outpatient Medical Oncology
- Infusion Services
- A dedicated 12-bed Inpatient Oncology unit for patients requiring hospitalization.
- Support groups are available to meet the emotional and physical needs of patients, caregivers and their families.
Opened July 25, 1986, The Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center was created to meet the special needs of ambulatory outpatients. Expanded in 2002, the comprehensive cancer center added specialized areas of excellence using a multi-disciplinary approach to address patient needs including:
- Education and outreach programs
- Oncology Care Coordination Team
- Dedicated Oncology Social Worker
- Daniel C. Searle Clinical Trials Patient Access Program
- Screening and diagnosis
- Psychosocial support
- Rehabilitation
The cancer center is named for Ella Milbank Foshay, wife of William Ward Foshay, and mother of Kathy Plum, Board Member of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation. Mr. Foshay's generous donations underwrote the original construction and major renovations at the Cancer Center.
