April 4, 2009 - 33rd Pink & White Ball at PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens

Slated as one of the "must attend" social events of the season in northern Palm Beach County, the 2009 Pink & White Ball was a treat for music lovers of all ages! Chairmen Lyn and Ralph Ianuzzi took inspiration from The Great American Songbook, and titled the traditional black tie fundraising gala The Best Is Yet To Come. The more than 230 guests spent their evening in a chic, intimate 1950's Supper Club created by The Special Event Resource & Design Group. The Marcia Mitchell Band delighted the audience with the classic sounds from The Great American Songbook era and had everyone on their feet dancing the night away to to the timeless rock-n-roll songs they all know and love.

Short on speeches and long on fun, the 33rd Pink & White Ball continued the popular tradition of a prize drawing for five prestigious items - with a luxury Mercedes-Benz serving as the grand prize.

4th Annual PGA Women's Cancer Awareness Day at PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens

February 12, 2009, was a picture perfect South Florida day for the Annual PGA Women's Cancer Awareness Day event at PGA National Resort & Spa. Now in its fourth year, it drew close to 450 women and netted more than $75,000 for the Daniel C. Searle Clinical Trials Access Program at Jupiter Medical Center's Foshay Cancer Center. This important program provides access to more than 50 cooperative group research clinical trials for patients with cancer.

Event participants competed in different sport activities from 18 holes and 9 hole golf tournaments, Round Robin Tennis, Bridge and Table Games, to Croquet matches leading up to the celebration luncheon in the Resort's Main Ballroom.

Key to the Cure Kick-off Reception at Saks Fifth Avenue, Palm Beach Gardens, Gardens Mall

Mindy Curtis-Horvitz, VP/General Manager, Saks Palm Beach Gardens and host of the 2008 Key to the Cure, with event co-chairs Dari Bowman and Denise Nieman.

This year, Key to the Cure celebrated its 10th Anniversary.  In conjunction with Hollywood's Entertainment Industry Foundation and national sponsor, Mercedes-Benz USA, the event takes place each fall in Saks Fifth Avenue stores nationwide to benefit organizations like Jupiter Medical Center's Foshay Cancer Center that are involved in the treatment and research of women's reproductive cancers.

Results of this four-day shopping event will net 2% of all sales to be donated to the Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center to benefit women's reproductive cancer research, treatment and patient care programs. The efforts and commitment of Saks Fifth Avenue and the dedication of members of our local community have resulted in the contribution of over $50,000 towards women's cancer care and research at the Foshay Cancer Center.

To kick-off the event, Saks Fifth Avenue hosted a cocktail reception and shopping event the evening before Key to the Cure officially began. Close to 250 guests attended this exclusive reception and we are expecting even more! Guests will be treated to libations, delectable tastings from more than two dozen area restaurants, entertainment and have the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes. In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Key to the Cure, an incredible surprise, compliments of Saks Fifth Avenue, awaits this year's guests!

Event co-chairs Dari Bowman and Denise Nieman were joined by Honorary Medical Chairs Dr. Marcelle Bertrand, Dr. Sandra Mondro, Dr. Donna Pinelli, and Dr. Elizabeth Reich.
