At Jupiter Medical Center, we recognize the important role family and friends take in the recovery of our patients. Just like you, our number one priority is their health and safety. We will do our best to care for your loved one with dignity, compassion, professionalism and warmth. Thank you for placing your trust in us.
We encourage you to turn to us if you have any questions or concerns. Our goal is to make sure everyone is well informed about the condition of your loved one. We find this works best when a spokesperson is designated as the primary contact between the ICU/PCU team and the patient’s loved ones. The ICU/PCU team will provide updates to this spokesperson who can then communicate the information to everyone concerned.
Your loved one needs adequate rest on his or her road to recovery. In order for our patients to get the best possible rest, the avoidance of overstimulation is important. Although the ICU/PCU does not have visiting hours, we ask that you observe our quiet hours (listed below). During the quiet hours, the ICU/PCU doors will be closed to all visitors so the patient may rest and distractions are at a minimum.
There are many tasks associated with quality patient care that require privacy and adequate space.
Quiet Hours: 1p.m. - 4p.m.
