As I look back and reflect on our milestones and accomplishments for 2012, Jupiter Medical Center excelled in providing high quality care and attaining the highest quality scores in our history.
First and foremost, I am proud to announce that Jupiter Medical Center is the recipient of the HealthGrades ‘America’s 50 Best’ Award™ for two years in a row (2011-2012) and the Distinguished Hospital Award - Clinical Excellence™ for nine years in a row (2005-2013). HealthGrades is the nation’s most trusted, independent source of physician information and hospital quality ratings. This achievement signifies our goal of providing world-class healthcare to the community we serve.
At Jupiter Medical Center, we focus on world-class care, and follow the strictest protocols and care guidelines. It takes an entire team of medical professionals to make sure that our patients have the very best care. Maintaining this level of high standards has enabled us to receive the HealthGrades accolades year after year.
Jupiter Medical Center is recognized as a best practice hospital in Florida’s “No Place Like Home” campaign – part of a national quality strategy aimed to improve in three areas: improved care, better health and lower costs – including reducing avoidable hospital readmissions occurring within 30 days of hospital discharge. Jupiter Medical Center scored well above the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) benchmark “all-cause” readmission rate with 17.4 percent, compared to the region at 19.4 percent, the state at 19.5 percent and the nation at 18.5 percent.
Jupiter Medical Center was rated a Top Hospital in Palm Beach County in two categories: Likelihood to Recommend and Overall Patient Satisfaction, ranked well above the national average of 70 percent as measured by CMS; a Top Quality Hospital in the Top 10 percent for Overall Medical Care Among the Nation’s Hospitals, as measured by The Delta Group; and ranked in the Top one percent in the nation in Risk-Adjusted Mortality, as measured by The Delta Group.
These top recognitions show that Jupiter Medical Center is at the forefront of healthcare and proves that a committed medical staff, in partnership with a diligent Jupiter Medical Center team, results in great patient success. I am confident that we will provide the right care every time for our patients.
