Patients of the Jupiter Medical Center's Institute for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery can attend a monthly support group hosted by the Bariatric Coordinator and licensed nutritionist. Crohn's & Colitis Support Group
If you or a loved one suffers from Crohn's Disease or ulcerative colitis, please join us! Our support group is designed to provide a forum for discussing the challenges faced by those living with IBD as well as their friends and family members.

Better Breathers Club
Jupiter Medical Center’s Better Breathers Club is a monthly support group for patients with COPD and their caregivers. Founded by the American Lung Association and hosted by Jupiter Medical Center we provide an opportunity for patients with lung disease, and their caregivers, to connect with others who are also going through life with COPD. Facilitated by concerned healthcare providers in a supportive environment, our goal is to provide education and resources to help meet the challenges that chronic lung disease brings to daily life and improve quality of life. Our Pulmonary Hypertension and Pulmonary Fibrosis Group meets monthly to provide patients, caregivers and their family members with the resources necessary to more fully understand these conditions. Participating in a support
group may improve your emotional well-being and offers you the opportunity to connect with others facing similar experiences. Facilitated by concerned healthcare providers in a supportive environment, our goal is to provide patients with the tools necessary to live with these conditions and improve their quality of life. A.W.A.K.E. (Alert Well and Keeping Energetic) Support Group is an ongoing support group for patients with sleep apnea. Meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month, at 7 p.m., during the months of September through May. Call the JMC Sleep Center at (561) 744-4478 for more information.
Smoking Cessation Classes
A complimentary, proven-effective, six-week smoking cessation class is available to support your efforts to stop smoking. The course includes group support, relapse preventions, free nicotine replacement therapy (gum, patches and lozenges are available for those who are eligible). Spine Surgery Support Group
Our SpineOPS (Spine Surgery Support Group) is designed to provide a forum for discussing the challenges
faced by those who are considering or have had spine surgery and want to remain as active and productive as
possible. International studies have shown that support group discussions are effective at enhancing spine surgery outcomes. Sharing one’s experiences and perspectives with other patients can be empowering and beneficial. The group is open to patients, friends and family members.
