JUPITER, FLA. (January 6, 2015) –
Jupiter Medical Center today announced that in addition to its Military Trail location, it is
opening a new urgent care center located at 1335 West Indiantown Road.
Both centers are expertly staffed and fully equipped to provide comprehensive
care under the direction of Matthew Capuano, MD, medical director for
urgent care.
After purchasing the Indiantown Road location and completely remodeling
it, doors will open on January 7, 2015. Both sites offer complete urgent
care health services including on-site laboratory testing and digital
x-rays to enable the rapid diagnosis and treatment of urgent medical conditions
and minor trauma. Community members will be able to obtain convenient
care that is backed by a major medical center, making it possible to fast-track
any advanced testing that is needed such as ultrasounds, MRIs and CTs,
to name a few.
“We are committed to ensuring families in our community have convenient
access to immediate care of the highest quality,” said Jupiter Medical
Center’s President and Chief Executive Officer, John D. Couris.
“Our urgent care centers are the only facilities in Jupiter backed
by a world-class hospital system. That means our patients get the best
care possible.”
Leading the charge for Jupiter Medical Center’s Urgent Care is the
newly appointed medical director, Matthew Capuano, MD. Board-certified
in family practice and with a fellowship in sports medicine, Dr. Capuano
earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and
his undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. He completed
his residency at Family Medicine University of Rochester Medical Center
and his fellowship with Primary Care Sports Medicine University of Rochester
Medical Center.
“We have two state-of-the-art centers to provide care for non-life-threatening
illnesses and injuries that can’t or shouldn’t wait until
your primary care provider’s office opens for you to receive treatment,”
said Matthew Capuano, MD. “What makes us different from other providers
is our high standards of care. Patients can feel secure knowing their
lab tests and x-rays are read by the same highly qualified staff serving
patients in the hospital. Likewise, if patients need specialty care, we
can direct them to Jupiter Medical Center specialists who are ranked among
the region’s best.”
