What's in Your Gym Bag? Sun Safety for Outdoor Workouts

When exercising outdoors, protect yourself from sun exposure by making sure you have packed these 3 simple things:

  1. Choose a pair of sunglasses that protect against both UVA and UVB rays. For both comfort and safety, look for glasses that wrap around for a more snug fit, and less prone to falling off.
  2. In addition to applying sunscreen before your workout, pack extra if you will be outside for longer than 2 hours. Reapply more frequently if you are sweating heavily.
  3. Last but not least, consider a cap to provide extra protection for your eyes and face.
