Collaborative Approach

Jupiter Medical Center has assembled an orthopedic team that includes many of our region’s most respected orthopedic and neurological surgeons, physical therapists, rehabilitation specialists, pain management staff and specially trained registered nurses. Our team works side-by-side to get patients back on their feet again. Patients transition from surgery to recovery and rehabilitation all in one integrated unit. Bringing the entire multidisciplinary team together in one comprehensive unit fosters greater collaboration in the care of our patients.

Innovative Technology

To achieve these stellar results for our patients, we have also invested in advanced technology that provides the most precise, and least invasive, treatment options.

Patients at Jupiter Medical Center undergoing inpatient joint replacements benefit from the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery System. Prior to surgery, the Mako Robotic-Arm uses a CT scan to create a 3D model of the patient’s unique bone anatomy. Your surgeon can then virtually place the implant, creating a detailed and personalized plan for surgery. During the surgery, the Mako robotic arm provides real-time information to guide the surgeon in positioning and aligning the implant. The enhanced accuracy has the potential to mean longer-lasting implants, less post-operative pain and a quicker recovery.

The Mako is used for total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and total hip replacement.
