I was diagnosed with breast cancer 03/20/2019 at the age of 40. I had
chemotherapy before having a double mastectomy. Yes, it was a very hard
time for me to understand and wrap my mind around it. I did not think
this was going to happen to me, but there was no way but to fight through.
The help I got while fighting through breast cancer for me was the merit
of people whom God sends in difficult times. The professional group of
doctors and nurses, who work in a well-coordinated team, and do a very
important job.
I have never felt alone at any time, the nurses always checked up on me
to see how i was feeling, they have recommended some of the special programs
that help me keep active and strong! This whole time my 11 year old daughter
Anastasiia, was staying with me, going through this hard time with me.
Also, a lot of my friends were encouraging me, and spreading a lot of
positivity, during my rehabilitation and recovery. They organized a hot
meal schedule for me, helped with transportation and home needs. They
also visited me at the clinic with a big friendly encouraging group. Most
of the help was coming from Russia, my mom, San, oldest daughter, Fri,
and especially from my best friend. She makes me happy, cheering me up
and motivating me 24/7. At that point I couldn't just, give up. I
have promised everyone that I would not stop fighting.
Message for other women: Never give up! We are more powerful when we are together!
My daughter and I decorated this chair, the design represents the stars
in the sky. Why? Well, because the stars are the people who were there
to help me out! The generation goes on and on, same with stars, there
are a lot of them and they go on and on. The people who helped me, like
the stars, shine bright, I can feel them forever.
I hope that every star in the universe will help you out, by stars I mean
the people who help you in the process of your fight! We are strong together!
