Post-Program Benefits
The benefits of MBSR training are strengthened through maintaining a daily
mindfulness practice. Students discover at the end of the training, that
class eight launches the beginning, not the end of mindfulness as a way
of life. The practice is well supported through a community of those interested
in continuing, deepening or refreshing their practice.
For this reason Jupiter Medical Center, offers the continuing benefit of
ongoing monthly drop-in sessions.* The sessions run 90 minutes and consist
of a sequence of guided mindfulness practices led by an MBSR instructor,
followed by dialogue and inquiry, as well as discussion of the informal
practice of mindfulness in daily life. It is an invitation to reconnect
and reaffirm one’s commitment to the living practice of mindfulness.
In addition, MBSR graduates are invited to attend the all-day retreat
which is offered quarterly.
*MBSR drop-In sessions are currently being offered on the third Monday
of the month from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. These sessions are held Online via Zoom.
