Quality & Safety

Critical Acclaim for Our Safety Measures

Jupiter Medical Achieves Highest Safety Rating

The Leapfrog Group has again awarded Jupiter Medical Center an "A" Hospital Safety Grade for achieving the highest national standard in patient safety. Jupiter Medical Center is the only hospital in the Palm Beach and Martin County region to receive a "A" rating.

The Leapfrog Group assigns a grade between "A" and "F" to more than 2,600 general hospitals across the country. The grade uses over 30 measures of safety data including rates of preventable errors, injuries and infections. It also accounts for whether hospitals have systems in place to protect patients from harm. Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades are considered the "gold standard of patient safety."

Industry Leading Risk Adjusted Mortality

Quantros, a leading provider of software solutions that advance health care quality and safety, ranked Jupiter Medical Center one of the top performing hospitals in the country in a crucial category: risk-adjusted mortality. This is a ratio of the observed number of in-hospital deaths to the number expected, based on the hospital's case mix. Jupiter Medical Center performed better than 99.4 percent of hospitals in Florida and, in a coast-to-coast comparison, outperformed 99.9 percent of the hospitals across the U.S.
