Urology

Jupiter Medical Center offers a variety of diagnostic and treatment options for men and women with urologic issues.

Imaging Services

PSMA PET CT Scans

Jupiter Medical Center is offering PSMA PET imaging for improved prostate cancer detection and treatment. PSMA PET is an innovative technology that provides improved imaging for identifying metastatic and recurrent prostate cancer. This imaging technique is changing the way aggressive prostate cancers are identified, making it easier to design a more targeted treatment plan for your patients. PSMA PET will significantly improve how prostate cancer is detected and treated.

Jupiter Medical Center is offering PSMA PET scans with Illuccix®, a radioactive diagnostic agent indicated for PET of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positive lesions in men with prostate cancer.

Who should consider PSMA PET?

  • Men with suspected metastasis who are candidates for initial definitive therapy
  • Men with suspected recurrence based on elevated serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level

How do I schedule my patient for PSMA PET?

  • Contact Jupiter Medical Center’s Central Scheduling Department at 561-263-4414
  • Orders can be faxed to 561-263-4462

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH)

The most common urologic condition among men is a noncancersous englargement of the prostate called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Jupiter Medical Center offers several innovative treatment options for BPH.

Prostate Artery Embolization

Prostatic artery embolization (PAE) is a minimally invasive treatment that helps improve lower urinary tract symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

The PAE procedure is performed by an interventional radiologist (IR), a doctor who uses X-rays and other advanced imaging to see inside the body and treat conditions without surgery.

Aquablation Therapy Surgical Treatment for BPH (enlarged prostate)

Aquablation therapy is a new type of surgical treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Jupiter Medical Center is among the first in the area to offer this advanced, minimally invasive treatment.

We are excited to offer Aquablation therapy at Jupiter Medical Center because we believe in helping men suffering from BPH to get their life back and feel like themselves again.

We know choosing a treatment option can be overwhelming, as it often forces men to compromise in some way. This could mean not responding well to medication, or choosing a treatment that only provides limited relief, that may have a long recovery time, or that may even cause issues with sexual function.

Aquablation therapy is a one-of-a-kind procedure that aims to minimize this compromise.

Pelvic Health Rehabilitation

Millions of people in the United States suffer from pelvic floor disorders.

About half of those affected by this disorder feel so isolated and stigmatized that they never discuss the problem with a health care professional. This is unfortunate because in the majority of cases the problem can be relieved.

Jupiter Medical Center offers a comprehensive pelvic health rehabilitation program. Our pelvic health physical therapists have advanced training and experience in assessing and treating specialized conditions including pelvic pain, incontinence, pain and dysfunction in pregnancy, and others.
