JUPITER, Fla. (February 18, 2013) – A recent celebration under the
stars hosted by the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation marked the grand
opening of Jupiter Medical Center’s Raso Education Center.
The open house reception was held on the evening of January 24, 2013 at
The Dominick F. and Shirley C. Raso Education Center at Jupiter Medical
Center. More than 200 guests walked the red carpet to an intimate tent
setting, serenaded by a live jazz ensemble. John D. Couris, President
and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center, offered opening remarks, followed by
a welcome speech from K. “Murray” Fournie, the new President
of The Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, and ending with year-end statistics
and thanks from Peter Crisp, Chairman of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation Board.
Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and refreshments as they were offered
tours of the two-story Raso Education Center by Jupiter Medical Center
team members and clinicians. Guests had the opportunity to learn first-hand
about the state-of-the-art technology at the Raso Education Center.
“This open house reception signifies the hard work and dedication
from all parties involved that went into the completion of the Raso Education
Center,” said Couris. “We are extremely grateful to our partners
in philanthropy who continue to give of themselves to ensure that Jupiter
Medical Center is recognized as a world-class facility in Northern Palm
Beach County and beyond.”
Jupiter Medical Center completed the first phase of its three-phase $50
million expansion plan with the opening of the Raso Education Center and
Clarke Auditorium. The Raso Education Center and Clarke Auditorium provide
Jupiter Medical Center’s medical team and other area researchers
and clinicians with some of the most innovative facilities and equipment.
The John H. & Margaret Clarke Auditorium offers a venue to host physician
lectures from top academic medical centers, as well as educational lectures
to community members and team members. The Physician/Team Member Training
& Educational Rooms have the ability to feed live surgery videos from
Jupiter Medical Center’s operating room, allowing physicians to
watch in the Raso Education Center and interact with the physicians in
the operating room.
