For more than 40 years, Jupiter Medical Center has been a driving force
in our community, helping families celebrate many of life’s greatest
moments and overcome some of their most significant challenges.
From the birth of a
new baby to overcoming
cancer, Jupiter Medical Center and the remarkable
medical experts and team members that make it so great, remain an institution you can
be certain to rely on.
Today, the COVID-19 pandemic is posing a new challenge, one that is bringing
with it a sense of uncertainty and questions about what the coming weeks
and months may hold.
As always, Jupiter Medical Center is here to help our community navigate
this crisis.
Recognized as a leader in
quality, safety and patient satisfaction, we are one of the first hospitals in the state of Florida to implement
the Centers for Disease Control’s guidelines for the diagnosis,
screening and treatment of COVID-19 patients.
Since that time, our entire organization has worked diligently to initiate
a comprehensive plan and series of
preventative measures to ensure that we are capable of screening, isolating and treating patients
with COVID-19 while also protecting the health and well-being of other
patients in our care and our fellow team members.
These preparations have included multidisciplinary training drills and
strictly adhering to the proper use of personal protective equipment in
accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended
guidelines.
In addition to our already rigorous infection prevention procedures, we
are conducting additional cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces and
in all patient areas, including the use of Tru-D SmartUVC ultra-violet
disinfection robots.
We are screening everyone who enters the hospital, have amended our
visitor policy, and are using telehealth to connect our care providers with patients
through video chat whenever possible.
We have also established an
Incident Command Center to streamline communications, patient management and the allocation of
personnel, resources and equipment.
Jupiter Medical Center is also at the forefront of identifying and acquiring
the latest advancements in new testing modalities, innovative treatments
and state-of-the-art technologies to aggressively identify and treat this disease.
With these actions, you can be certain in our ability to serve the patients
of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast with the selflessness, compassion
and expertise that you have come to expect from Jupiter Medical Center
day after day, year after year.
