About Carla
Dr. Danielle DiPiero was drawn to medicine by a fascination with the brilliance of the human body and the way its systems work together to support health and healing. Raised in West Virginia, she earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010 before completing her Family Medicine residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina.
During residency, Dr. DiPiero quickly realized that the traditional healthcare model often left little room for the kind of thoughtful, relationship-centered care she believed patients deserved. While others learned to work faster, she found herself wanting to slow down — to ask more questions, understand the full picture, and help patients feel truly supported in their health journey.
That philosophy eventually became the foundation for Wellness First, where she now practices integrative, membership-based primary care with a special interest in women’s health, hormonal wellness, and helping patients restore energy, vitality, and balance in every season of life.
She especially enjoys the variety and complexity of family medicine and values the long-term relationships built through caring for patients over time.
One of the greatest joys of her career has been building Wellness First alongside her husband, who she describes as an incredible teammate both in business and in life. Together, they share a deep commitment to creating a practice that feels deeply personal, welcoming, and centered around the people they serve.
Outside the office, Dr. DiPiero enjoys exercising, traveling, dancing in the kitchen, and embracing the joyful chaos of raising young children. She’s also happiest watching the people she loves come alive in the things they enjoy most — especially her husband, whether he’s grilling outdoors, shooting his bow, or turning everyday moments at home into something fun and memorable.
