Dr. Merritt is a board-certified general neurologist/neurohospitalist who is experienced in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients who have sudden or severe brain, spine, and nerve problems. As a neurohospitalist, she focuses on acute, hospitalized patients.

She is part of a team of physicians dedicated to providing emergency evaluations including responding to stroke alerts and brain crises in the emergency department, managing daily treatments for intensive care patients, ordering and interpreting fast brain scans, spinal taps, EEG’s and nerve studies. Dr. Merritt works closely with physical therapists, ER physicians, neurointerventional radiologists and neurosurgeons to plan recovery and discharge.
