About Michael
Dr. Worley Jr. is a women's cancer specialist with expertise in complex open surgery, as well as minimally invasive surgery. Prior to joining Jupiter Medical Center, he served as the Director of Ovarian Cancer Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Under his leadership, the first Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) protocol for ovarian cancer was established at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In addition, he served at a co-investigator for a multi-institutional ovarian cancer prevention study involving Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Johns Hopkins, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT.
While in Boston, he was assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. Since moving to Florida, he has continued his academic pursuits as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State College of Medicine.
Dr. Worley Jr. was born and raised in Florida and is dedicated to treating patients with compassion and respect.
