Philip W. Moyer, MD, FACS, is a general surgeon proficient in robotic and minimally invasive surgery and surgical endoscopy. He specializes in minimally invasive surgeries for anti-reflux, appendix, bowel and gallbladder ailments. For hernia and abdominal wall conditions, he performs minimally invasive hernia surgery, complex hernia repair as well as ventral hernia, incisional hernia, inguinal hernia surgeries and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

He provides additional general surgery care including biopsy of lesions, chemotherapy infusaport placement, hemorrhoid surgery, lymph node biopsy and surgery, skin lesion removal, spleen surgery, thyroid surgery, tracheostomy and wound care. He is also proficient in surgical endoscopy with the PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) tube.

About Dr. Moyer

Dr. Moyer is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, is an associate professor at Florida State University has served as a da Vinci robotic instructor for the Xi surgical system focusing on minimally invasive options in general surgery. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1989-1992, including during Operation Desert Storm.

During his general surgery residency, Dr. Moyer was on the bio card proof this has “a” instead of “an” H. Dale Collins Research Fellow at the University of Oklahoma. He is a published author of numerous articles and abstracts and has served as a Principal Investigator in several clinical trials.
