At Jupiter Medical Center, the health and safety of our patients, team
members and community is our top priority. Given the potential for a weather
event, Jupiter Medical Center’s Emergency team is monitoring national
and regional weather conditions and is in regular communications with
the appropriate agencies, including the police and fire departments, and
the Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center.
Elective surgeries on Thursday morning are being handled on a case-by-case
basis. If you have a surgery scheduled before 10 a.m. Thursday, please
call your surgeon’s office to confirm.
The Jupiter Outpatient Surgery Center located at 2055 Military Trail will
be closed Thursday and Friday.
Imaging and diagnostic testing will proceed as scheduled until noon on
Thursday at the main hospital as well as at Jupiter Medical Center’s
Outpatient Imaging Center and the Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center.
The Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as the Lighthouse
Detox at Jupiter Medical Center will remain open for current patients
and residents.
Jupiter Medical Center will offer shelter for maternity patients who are
38 weeks pregnant or more, and who are pre-registered to deliver at the
hospital. Women may bring one adult with them to the hospital. Unfortunately,
due to limited space, we are not able to accommodate more than one adult
with the expectant mother. Those seeking shelter should bring their own
pillows, bedding, clothes and personal care items, as well as snacks and drinks.
Jupiter Medical Center is not an emergency shelter for the general public.
Special needs patients should seek shelter at the county’s designated
special needs shelter.
Jupiter Medical Center will provide continual updates online at www.jupitermed.com.
