Jupiter Medical Center Again Earns Highest Safety Rating from The Leapfrog Group

Jupiter, FL – November 13, 2025 -Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) has once again earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade, the highest safety grade, from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. This is the 14th consecutive “A” rating for the hospital, and JMC is also the only hospital in the Palm Beach and Martin County region to receive the “A” rating.

The Leapfrog Group evaluates over 2,600 general hospitals nationwide by assigning a grade from “A” to “F.” This assessment is based on more than 30 performance measures that reflect incidents such as errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the preventive systems that hospitals have implemented.

“Patient safety is central to our mission,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “This recognition reflects the unwavering commitment of our entire team to deliver care that is not only exceptional but also the safest in our region.”

Jupiter Medical Center is one of the only health care systems in southeast Florida to consistently receive an “A” rating from The Leapfrog Group. The independent not-for-profit health care system continues to make significant investments in state-of-the-art technology and the latest patient care models and procedures, resulting in the highest quality care in the region. The hospital’s ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and patient experience has led to local, national, and international recognition, including from Newsweek, Forbes, and U.S. News & World Report.

“Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade reflects enormous dedication to patient safety,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “I extend my congratulations to Jupiter Medical Center, its leadership, clinicians, staff and volunteers for creating a culture where patients come first.”

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program that focuses solely on preventable medical errors, infections, and injuries. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and available to the public at no cost. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
