JMC earns seventh consecutive American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus award

Jupiter, FL – July 23, 2025Jupiter Medical Center is pleased to announce it has received its seventh consecutive American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award. The Gold Plus designation is the highest honor awarded, a recognition of the not-for-profit’s consistent compliance in each of the seven Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Achievement Measures. This esteemed recognition is a testament to Jupiter Medical Center’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to exceptional patient care,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “Our Stroke Center features the latest state-of-the-art technology, including the use of AI, to more quickly and accurately diagnose and treat stroke. Equally important is an exceptional team of physicians, emergency responders, dedicated stroke coordinators, and rehabilitation therapists who consistently ensure the best possible outcomes.”

As the first Joint Commission-certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center in its region, Jupiter Medical Center is leading the way in stroke care, meeting rigorous standards indicative of the highest level of stroke care. By combining speed, innovation, and expertise, the health care system provides the highest quality, safety and patient experience for stroke patients.

Get With The Guidelines - Stroke is an in-hospital program for improving stroke care by promoting consistent adherence to the latest research- and evidence-based guidelines, which can minimize the long-term effects of a stroke and even prevent death. Each year, program participants qualify for the award by demonstrating how their organization has committed to providing quality care for stroke patients. In addition to following treatment guidelines, Get With The Guidelines participants also educate patients to help them manage their health and recovery at home.

"We are incredibly pleased to recognize Jupiter Medical Center for its commitment to caring for patients with stroke," said Steven Messe, M.D., volunteer chair of the American Heart Association Stroke System of Care Advisory Group. "Participation in Get With The Guidelines is associated with improved patient outcomes, fewer readmissions and lower mortality rates - a win for health care systems, families and communities.
