Jefferson R. Vaughan, M.D.

Dr. Jefferson R. Vaughan is highly regarded among his peers for his technical
skills, excellent outcomes and low complication rates.
On staff at Jupiter Medical Center since 1995, Dr. Vaughan started the
bariatric surgery program in 2000 with an extensive background in weight
loss surgery. Dr. Vaughan trained under Dr. Alan Wittgrove, pioneer of
the laparoscopic approach of gastric bypass surgery and the first surgeon
to perform a laparoscopic gastric bypass in the world.
Since then, Dr. Vaughan has performed thousands of laparoscopic gastric
bypasses and has trained 36 surgical teams from around the world in his
techniques.
After graduating from Birmingham Southern College, Dr. Vaughan attended
the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed an internship
and residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami
Beach, Florida.
Dr. Vaughan is proficient in both open incision and Laparoscopic weight
loss surgery. In addition to bariatric surgery, he performs an entire
range of general surgery, including gallbladder removal, hernia repairs,
heartburn surgery, colon and intestinal surgery, stomach surgery and skin
cancer surgery.
Jeanne Constable, RN, BSN, CGRN

Jeanne brings more than 30 years of experience as a digestive health nurse.
Her primary interest has always been digestive health. Promoting health
and wellness, she finds bariatrics an exciting and ever-evolving field
of medicine. This field offers patients struggling with weight and health-related
issues an opportunity to regain their health and improve their quality of life.
As coordinator, Jeanne works personally with each patient to coordinate
their plan of care so they are fully prepared for surgery. After surgery,
ongoing support and education is maintained to assure optimal success.
Jeanne provides quality care, education, counseling, resources and support
services with kindness and compassion.
