Urgent vs. Emergency Care
Where to go for Medical Emergencies
No one should ever take a chance with a medical emergency. When you have
a medical crisis, it is important to get the treatment you need as quickly
as possible. Not every condition that requires immediate medical attention
is a life-threatening emergency. There are several services that can be
just as efficiently provided at an urgent care center instead of the emergency room.
Visiting one of our Urgent Care Centers for your non-urgent or minor medical
care needs can be a great cost-saving and time-saving alternative to you
or your family members. Going to an Emergency Department for less serious
problems—such as an ear infection, sore throat or a sprain—can
be costly and time consuming.
Every second counts when an emergency strikes, so you should seek the treatment
you believe you need as quickly as possible. Below you will find examples
of issues that are better treated at an urgent care center, as well as
life-threatening conditions that are best treated in the emergency department.
